CW Strategies

Four-month engagements. Define the problem, build the solution, transfer ownership, leave. No ongoing dependency.

What We Do

CW Strategies helps organizations navigate transitions: revenue shifts, digital transformation, restructuring. We work alongside your team to build solutions you own completely when we leave.

No retainers. No ongoing fees. No dependency. Just the work, done right, with full transfer of ownership.

The CW Standard

Five principles that guide every engagement. Named for Claude William Simmons (1903-1967), a man who showed up and did the work for 51 years.

  1. 1. Truth over comfort Document what actually happens, not what should happen. Problems you can't name are problems you can't solve.
  2. 2. Usefulness over purity Perfect options don't exist. What works, and what does it cost? That's the question that matters.
  3. 3. Transparency over reputation Every compromise gets documented. When we trade one thing for another, we say so. No hidden costs.
  4. 4. People over systems Technology serves human capability. Systems that don't help people do their jobs aren't systems worth building.
  5. 5. Agency over ideology Principles that don't work in practice aren't principles. If the framework fails the situation, change the framework.

About CW

Claude William Simmons was born in 1903 in Oklahoma Territory. He had a 6th grade education, left school at 13 to work, and provided for 11 children through dust bowls and depressions. He died in 1967, six years before his grandson Derek was born.

Derek built CW to know his grandfather. The conversation you have at claudewill.io is shaped by CW's practical wisdom: help when asked, tell the truth, don't waste words.

CW Strategies carries his name because the work follows the same principles: show up, do the job, leave things better than you found them.
